It has been a year since the former cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan became Pakistan's prime minister.

Khan's campaign slogan was "Naya Pakistan" or "New Pakistan", a reflection of his promises to turn the country's economy around and end corruption.

But the first year of his premiership has not gone as smoothly asAsked whether these two nuclear countries are at risk of another major conflict, or even war, Khan tells Al Jazeera he "absolutely" believes war with India could be a possibility. he may have hoped or even expected, especially in terms of the economy. The Pakistani rupee has lost 35 percent of its value during his time in office.

Pakistan would never start a war, and I am clear: I am a pacifist, I am anti-war, I believe that wars do not solve any problems," he says.

But, he adds: "When two nuclear-armed countries fight, if they fight a conventional war, there is every possibility that it is going to end up into nuclear war. The unthinkable."

"If say Pakistan, God forbid, we are fighting a conventional war, we are losing, and if a country is stuck between the choice: either you surrender or you fight 'til death for your freedom, I know Pakistanis will fight to death for their freedom. So when a nuclear-armed country fights to the end, to the death, it has consequences."

I hope everyone read and understood the no-so-veiled threat Pakistan just made: They will consider using nuclear weapons if losing a conventional war.

Pretty hard to miss. The only hope Pakistan has in a conflict with India is to gain the immediate military support of China. It seems fairly evident at some point, if India goes all out to invade them, Pakistan will indeed lose a conventional conflict.

The only hope India has of stopping Pakistan from unleashing their own personal, nuclear Armageddon is to blitzkrieg Pakistan, and even that is not even close to being guaranteed to stop them from launching their missiles. I would hope this would stop India from doing anything rash, but these days it seems like something happening is almost inevitable.

I think any Country with nuclear capabilities in that same situation would have no alternative but to use their nuclear weapons... Doesn't matter the situation, a Country will do whatever it takes to protect it's sovereignty and that's what I call the Sum of all fears... I don't the US, Russia or even China will use their nuclear weapons, I think a Nuc lb. Ear war will start from a smaller, weaker, an I got nothing to lose Country... At any moment they can go off and we would be in deep 💩... God Be With Us!!!

The Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Sunday warned Pakistan to stop supporting terrorism and added that it should be ready to lose Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. He said this while addressing Bharat Ekta Manch rally in Vadodara.
"Article 370 has been revoked. Now, Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) too is ours. Pakistan should be ready to lose PoK. For fulfilling the dream of united India, we are ready to move forward for PoK. Pakistan should stop supporting terrorism, India will not tolerate this," he said.

small-scale conflict between the two arch rivals could ignite a nuclear war that would kill hundreds of millions, the head of Pakistan’s Azad Kashmir said just days after PM Imran Khan addressed India with similar rhetoric.
“Even a limited military conflict could evolve into a nuclear war,” Masood Khan, the president of the Pakistani-controlled part of Kashmir, was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti. Although others would unlikely be involved the confrontation, the consequences would be wide-ranging, he said.

If a war breaks out between India and Pakistan, it will be quick, dirty and deadly. It will be an Armageddon, hundreds of millions will die in South Asia, and 2.5 billion people will be affected by radiation all over the world.
