BAE Systems will supply new electronic warfare systems for the C-130J aircraft of the US Air Force Special Operations Command, Military Parity reports with reference to upi.com.

Deliveries will continue for the next 30 months, new equipment will improve aircraft survivability through early detection of threats. A completely digital system is developed on the basis of the company's rich experience in EW systems. The full value of the contract is estimated at more than $ 300 million.

BAE Systems said it has developed its own radio frequency protection system used on airplanes of versions such as the AC-130J Ghostrider and the MC-130J Commando II. The system will be used for fire control, refueling of helicopters, direct air support for ground troops and for flights over enemy territory.
