Probably not. Neither of these armies understand how to use tanks like they were designed to be used. They dig them along the fronts in Static warfare or piecemeal them into urban areas.

This is certainly a development, though I'm not sure just how far this'll go.

Yes, they could ruin the track so the tank would be stopped but they would have to be very thin spikes to get between the spacers.

Tank traps kids. Lots of work, but still pretty effective as long as they arent going against heavy tanks.

Ukraine is where Obama needs to draw the line in my opinion. It is too late for Syria. Since Russia likes to use the fact that they were "asked" to assist in Syria by the illegitimate dictatorship, then the US should use the same excuse in Ukraine. Ukraine has asked for our assistance and we should start fortifying Kiev and western Ukraine before it is too late.
