A Russian missile corvette left its Black Sea Fleet base of Sevastopol on Thursday and is heading to join a group of Russian warships in the Mediterranean, Russian news agencies cited a fleet spokesman as saying.

The Mirazh, armed with Malakhit cruise missiles, follows another two Black Sea Fleet missile corvettes, The Serpukhov and The Zelyony Dol equipped with Kalibr long-range cruise missiles, which had been due to reach the Mediterranean on Wednesday.

#Russia just said it will shoot down any missile or jet attacking the #Syrian army; without waiting to identify it.
For additional context, the Russian Ministry of Defense just said this and other things in a press conference.

Dang, that's pretty serious. I guess Condition Yellow really would be understandable. I really hope this doesn't get out of hand any more than it has.

The Russian Defense Ministry’s statement came in response to what it called “leaks” in the Western media alleging that Washington is considering launching airstrikes against Syrian government forces.

“Of particular concern is information that the initiators of such provocations are representatives of the CIA and the Pentagon, who in September reported to the [US] President on the alleged controllability of ‘opposition’ fighters, but today are lobbying for ‘kinetic’ scenarios in Syria,” he said.

The U.S./Coalition could play the same game if they wanted to, threatening to shoot down any jet observed indiscriminately bombing civilian areas or attacking FSA forces.
