US admits to the targetting/bombings.

Statement was released by the Pentagon, they halted airstrikes as soon as the Russians alerted them that the Coalition strikes were hitting Syrian forces. If this is true, the severity shouldnt be as bad as the June 17th incident given. Even after we alerted the Russians we had special ops there, they turned around and carried out an airstrike anyways. Here, we "allegedly" halted as soon as we heard.

Russia said if US hit regime in error, it's because of no coordination w/ Russia. US says it informed Russia prior.

WHAT.

This is confusing as heck! Now ISIS is saying the coalition targeted THEM and hit them.

I hope the US did this intentionally even it was a accident. It'll send Putin a message.

Don't mess with us. Karma hit Russia and Syria hard.

Yes, its a precaution. The other thread was getting long in he tooth, if this turns ino another June 17th or March 15th we need a fresh thread on topic.

They did. This was NOT an accident. The bombing started at 15:00 ended at 15:50. In 50 minutes, I am positive that the russians told the US who they were striking there. Also, multiple reports of US forces jamming SAA radars prior and during the bombing means that they knew who they were going against. The airforce tracks these targets for quite some time before an airstrike happens. With the amount of UAV`s and surveillance in that area, i find it really hard to believe they did not know who they were going to bomb and which forces were holding that point.
This "accident" will have serious ramifications in my opinion. Iran stated that if SAA gets attacked they will pull out of Obama`s wonderful nuclear deal. Also, there`s no telling how Russia will react to this. I am wondering for how long the US think they can get away with supporting ISIS.

Then why is/did the US 1. Considering reparation payments to those killed and 2. Halt additional planned airstrikes

I also think this may have been no accident. Perhaps a test how far you can go.
Just my opinion
