Weather will be an important factor for the events this week. Typhoon season is in full force across the basin, and as a result, weather is not the best. Any provocation from the DPRK will strictly correlate with the conditions at said time.

With that said, here is current satellite picture over East Asia...

TEL's, by definition, are mobile. They move around, that's the whole point of putting the thing on a truck. Given the nork's proclivity for tunnelling, I expect they're dispersed and in hardened hides. Recall, orbital recce assets are actually easy to hide from if you can tell time and uses an orbital ephemeris. The only orbital recce asset that is harder to avoid is X-37, as it can dip into the upper atmosphere and change its plane and inclination. Even then, amateur sky watchers have been able to pick it up and calculate it's orbit and inclination, even when it manoeuvres.
Far from backing down, I'd assess that the fat little bad hair never takes a dump buttwad is digging in.
As negotiation is not going to work, ever, I'd advocate a decapitation strike on the norks highly centralised command structure. Kill the head, and the body dies. Better, offer a 100 million dollar bounty. One of his own insiders would do him for that in a nanosecond. Better yet, nuke pyongyang and anything that even looks remotely military right now. A corollary to that would be a controlled demolition of a certain marxist nest at Turtle Bay...And we all know that's never going to happen, despite this mess being of their making.
Of course, the objective here is not to take care of the problem decisively. The object is to justify more money for the grease machine. The objective is to set conditions that will result in the destruction of a political system that is a threat to the old world order.
Sometimes, the only rational choice is a head shot.

SEOUL, Oct. 15 (Yonhap) -- The United States is poised to show off its military might this week through joint drills and a defense exhibition in South Korea, deploying an aircraft carrier, nuclear-powered submarine,
stealth fighters and other strategic assets.

The show of force comes amid growing tensions on the peninsula, with North Korea expected to engage in additional provocations in protest against the South Korea-U.S. military drills.

I have much respect for Mattis, so when I heard him recommend the book "This Kind of War" when he addressed AUSA on Monday, I went ahead and grabbed the ebook.

Here is his remarks from Monday: https://www.c-span.org/video/?435322-1/ ... ssociation

And here is a great article I recommend

Beats me. Maybe you will find out on the official army home page or Twitter I'll search it up.
