BEIRUT/DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran warned the United States against designating its Revolutionary Guards Corp as a terrorist group and said U.S. regional military bases would be at risk if new sanctions are passed.

“As we’ve announced in the past, if America’s new law for sanctions is passed, this country will have to move their regional bases outside the 2,000 km range of Iran’s missiles,” Guards’ commander Mohammad Ali Jafari said, according to state media.

Is this something to be concerned about or is it just more talk like North Korea?

Are you saying that Iran is something to be concerned about?

Combined with other anti American countries yes. America is a definite force against one power at a time .But you could consider multiple countries joining forces in their own best interest.

Iran and North Korea working together militarily against US assets and interests would put America in a two-front war scenario they have not had to contend with since World War 2. And if North Korea sells Iran nuclear weapons as I suspect they will, Israel will begin to take preemptive military action with or without America's consent, and then all bets are off for the stability of the entire hemisphere.

Iran promises 'crushing' response if U.S. designates Guards a terrorist group
LONDON (Reuters) - Iran promised on Monday to give a “crushing” response if the United States designated its elite Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist group.

The pledge came a week before President Donald Trump announces final decision on how he wants to contain Tehran. He is expected on Oct 15 to decertify the landmark international deal to curb Iran’s nuclear program, in a step that potentially could cause the 2015 accord to unravel.

Trump is also expected to designate Iran’s most powerful security force, the Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, as he rolls out a broader U.S. strategy on Iran.

“We are hopeful that the United States does not make this strategic mistake,” foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi was quoted as saying by the state news agency IRNA at a news conference.

“If they do, Iran’s reaction would be firm, decisive and crushing and the United States should bear all its consequences,” he added.

The US behavior has annoyed the world people and it is time to give the US new lessons," General Jazzayeri said on Tuesday.

"Apparently, the Trump administration doesn’t understand words but insults and it needs some shocks to understand the new meaning of power in today's world," he added.

Noting that such pressures leave no negative impact on Iran's progress in defensive fields, General Jazzayeri said the world people realize the correctness of Tehran's moves towards a boost in defensive power now that the Americans are posing clear military threat to the country.

His remarks came after Washington threatened to designate the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group.

In response, IRGC top Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said imposition of new sanctions by Washington against Iran means a US withdrawal from the nuclear deal, and warned that the US should leave the region and stay 2,000km away from Iran if the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) comes into effect.

"The Islamic Republic (of Iran) sees implementation of the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) as the US unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal and as we have declared in the past too, if the US new sanctions act comes into action, the country (the US) should transfer its regional bases to 2,000km away, that is as far as the range of Iranian missiles," General Jafari said on Sunday.

Tehran has once again warned Washington against designating the elite wing of the Iranian Army, the Revolutionary Guards, as a terrorist group, saying that “all options are on the table,” according to a top aide to Iran’s supreme leader.
“Whatever they do we will take reciprocal measures. All options are on the table,” Ali Akbar Velayati, senior adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday, Reuters reports citing Isna news agency.

Sounds like Iran is taking quotes from the US and throwing them back.
