The question is: can it fly?
The question is, should the US wait until it can fly?

From 1000 km (Scud) to 10000 km (KN-20) if the available information is correct!

It will be interesting to see what he does. I strongly believe he will order a atmospheric nuclear test...

The thing is... if he does forward one... Where would it be at? And what would a possible response be?

Speculation right now though. But easily isn't good seeing Nuclear Weapons being loaded on a ICBM... another reason to up gas prices.

Yeah, I just saw this myself and came here to post it. Anything from KCNA should be taken with a grain of salt.
...Could just be a plastic model, too. Anyone else have any thoughts on it?
Whether it's real/operational/etc or not, they're making the implied threat which is all thst matters. If they weren't getting their message across before, they are clarifying themselves right this moment.

If it does, it will contaminate a huge area with radioactive material, making North Korea even more desperate than it already is.
Underestimating and mocking North Korea has been going on for too long. This should be taken seriously.
210% agree my friend.

Is this a signal that North Korea is looking to establish nuclear deterrence? It could be, but I take issue with that.

1. They have not demonstrated that ability, so until they do, it can't be taken as 100% fact.

2. Their propaganda always showing US getting hit by a nuke.

3. Recless, with no notice, sending missiles over another country.

So how are we suppose to have any form of deterrence with them, when the regime doesn't behave like like they themselves want that?

It looks like North Korea has just conducted a nuclear test: 5.6 earthquake, 10km deep, recorded in North Korea. More to come

There goes speculation if DPRK has thermonuclear weapons.
The timing of this press release to today's test is frighteningly blunt and if you extrapolate that out to overflight of Japan there ultimate intentions are clear

Personally I think Kim has slipped in to delusions of grandure that he is on a quest for all of mankind to seek and destroy the terrible dragon that threatens the whole world. And when he is successful he will be lauded as the savior of the whole world for killing the dragon.
