The world is a dangerous place, and nuclear war isn't the only threat.

"Norwegian police have informed on neutralization of an explosive device in the center of Oslo ... police confirmed that the previously discovered object, which was 'similar' to the bomb, actually turned out to be an explosive device ... place sappers blew up the bomb ... a suspect suspected of attempting to organize an explosion was arrested"

Every time I see news coming out of Norway, something seems a little goofy about it. "Police discovered a bomb, and nearby was something which looked similar to that bomb. It too turned out to be a bomb. Consequently, they bombed both bombs. The suspected suspect was arrested." I'm reminded of the 2013 cheese fire:

In any case, it's interesting that this should occur so soon after the Swedish attack:

"Norwegian police said on Sunday that they had raised the country's security threat level the day after an explosive was found near a busy subway station in Oslo ... The suspect was a 17-year-old Russian national"

Priceless. Laughing my ass off here. Never heard about the cheese fire, but you are absolutely right. Even the roundabouts are goofy. The land of Goof.

The last time we had homegrown jihadists (2005), their first act of terrorism was blowing up a 2nd floor apartment by accident. Their coffee-table was found on a lawn 2 km away.

On a more serious note, the norwegian secret services has done an excellent job in decimating the ISIS scene in Oslo. With the help of the Russian Air Force.

According to the press here, he has been under surveilance by the secret police. They consequently refer to him as "a russian cityzen" from Caucasus, not "russian". He has social ties to an individual fighting for ISIS in Syria.

This adds up to muslim, as the press will avoid the term muslim as long as possible, but can't call him a jihadist untill that has been established.

The IED is said to consist of a small buthane container garnished by steel fragments. I would classify that more as a GED, a Goofy Explosive Device. Again, you are spot on Navarro.

Russian diplomats have shown great interest in the case and showed up for his hearing.
