Could we have a Natural Disaster thread/section in Offtopic? Just a random thought I had since natural disasters seem to be becoming more and more frequent.

I wrote the same idea in the earthquake post. Was thinking the same. I got some good sources for natural disasters too.

I use for general disaster monitoring.

For those of you in the States, this is a good site provided by the National Weather Service. But it's very resource intensive. Not for the faint of RAM or low CPU:
