Just a heads up that there's an exercise scheduled for tomorrow, so will probably see a large amount of traffic. To preclude any questions from arising - the world is not ending :D

Thats the raw sound of the digital deadman switch. minus the trunking phase I'd assume. Old school vacuum tube systems rock.
Sounds nore like off-centered Link-11

In reference to the DWSIntel Tweet a few minutes ago regarding the strange traffic on 7000 USB HF......

http://vocaroo.com/i/s1cN8Adzdeqm

Anyone have any educated guesses as to where the operator ordering Russian military traffic to leave the above frequency may be located? The accent sounds like it could be Indian perhaps, or maybe even Filipino. At any rate, that was quite an interesting catch.

Sounds European to me. Could be an associate of our pal the Filipino monkey. I don't think he operates on 7000..

It could indeed be European. The speaker very much has a Henry Kissinger type accent now that I think about it, albeit with less bass. I knew I had heard a similar accent before but couldn't place it until your post.

Lost recording for a couple of hours in the morning, may have missed some calls. The ex traffic has been pretty quiet so far today, a period or two of heavy activity but mostly within normal ranges. Most of the juicy stuff would've been audible from the US only.

Scary. but we may need to monitor all freqs.
While we are listening intently on the usual, they're doing covert ops on basic ham radio. Kinda brilliant.
Could also be related to the national evacuation drill??
