Re: US To Deploy 500 Troops to Lithuania

Can Russia really have a legitimate complaint about a rapid deployment of 500 soldiers? Could that repreaent anything resembling an offensive force?
Didn’t they mobilize 200 thousand soldiers in the Western district for exercises last year?

Re: US/Iran/Saudi Tentions

I can’t possibly imagine a scenario wherein we do the whole ground invasion/regime change/occupation/nation building thing, again, here. That said, Iran is not Iraq. Many of Iraqs military weaknesses worked against us, too, as an occupying force. In the same way, Iran’s military strength today, coup...

Re: US/Iran/Saudi Tentions

I couldn't agree more. I think this kind of talk on here should be highly discouraged. The movement of assets across the US is hardly classified information, and as has been already discussed, the videos are already on YouTube. Discussing that information here is well within our bounds of OSINT, an...

Re: US and Saudi Arabia response on criticall infrastructure

KSA could have the best air defense network in the world and it wouldn't matter if it were manned by Saudi soldiers. It reminds me of this article: https://www.meforum.org/441/why-arabs-lose-wars Yes I understand your point, but the tech would be mostly autonomous nowadays wrt detecting and trackin...

What makes this more significant than all of the other strikes against Iranian assets in Syria that Israel has done?

Israel is ranked surprisingly low. Not that I disagree though.

Re: Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system program holds informative town meeting

Honestly, couldn’t our existing SLBM systems fill the entire strategic nuclear deterrence role? It really seems like air and ground based systems yare completely unnecessary if that really is all we need them for. AFAIK, none of the limitations of the platform prevent it from filling the role, and s...

Re: Moscow Increasingly Ready for Major Military Confrontation

Their leveraging of a profit motive by heavily utilizing contractors/mercenaries is a fundamental shift from the soviet paradigm, at least domestically. Interesting could you expand on a bit. By contractors do you mean “contract Spenatza” or industrial complex. I was referring to contract soldiers,...
