Re: Hawaii Mistakenly Issues Missile Threat Warning To Civilians

Japan's national broadcaster NHK has apologized after sending a news alert incorrectly claiming that North Korea had launched a missile https://twitter.com/NewsBreaker101 What a coincidence!? What do they say about coincidences. I use the old adage, "Once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. Three...

Re: Islam Versus The West - Is Islam A Religion Of Peace?

Asking if Islam is a religion of peace is tantamount to asking if Hitler's Nazi party was a political party of peace. The Koran has over a hundred verses mandating that Muslims "kill the infidel wherever you find them." That is not what a peaceful religion advocates. It does not matter that suppose...

Re: This is the apocalypse North Korea wants to unleash

I don't think an EMP would be a stand alone attack, but rather the precursor to invasion. The effects of the weapon grid are debatable, ranging anywhere from annoying to catastrophic. Since we haven't done a high altitude "fry the grid" test before, we don't really know what one will do, but we do ...

I personally don't see anything happening with North Korea at this time. South Korea is in no mood for a war, and the US is hamstrung by SK right now.
I agree with you in the short term. I think that will change before the end of the year.

Re: Protect your devices from an EMP attack

Microwave ovens make for excellent EMP protection. Put your cell phone in the microwave and close the door. Then call it. If it doesn't ring, it should be protected from EMP. If it does, the microwave you're using may be leaking radiation and you should have it checked.

Re: DRPK -South korea meeting 9 january

We need to watch the Olympics, plus the week before and week after, extremely closely. It has been suggested by others in these forums that the massive influx and exodus of people in South Korea to watch the Olympics could be used as cover for military movements and/or noncom evacuations. Not sure h...

Who is the idiot software designer that even put the test and real world events in the same dropdown menu and right next to each other??? Seriously????????

And you can't tell me there weren't at least two popup warnings asking for confirmation.

And ultimately, it goes far beyond the current crisis. As the new nuclear arms race kicks off, more countries are going to obtain nuclear weapons. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey...

This will get much worse before it gets better.

Re: Hawaii Mistakenly Issues Missile Threat Warning To Civilians

There's a lot of chatter on the tinfoil boards about missiles actually being launched, the alert was real, and they only issued the retraction after the missiles had been successfully intercepted. I really don't believe any of this because DPRK would be a smoldering hole in the ground if they truly...
