Re: Transportation after Nuclear Annihilation

Not just surface winds either but also the jet stream which and large weather fronts Yes very true most wouldn't consider this. That is a valid point, but I assume civilians would lose access to weather information and forecasts almost immediately during a nuclear exchange, especially the more adva...

Re: Syria winter 2019

Even the First Strike nightmare scenario put out in the 80s was limited to military targets only. I don't believe that. The declassified plans of 1959 : "SAC listed over 1200 cities in the Soviet bloc, from East Germany to China, also with priorities established. Moscow and Leningrad were priority ...

Re: Syria winter 2019

This is a gift to us courtesy of the threat of nuclear war. However as we all know each time it just ratchets up the risk level a little higher. If it pops we very well might not have any warning. In theory for a first strike to be successful it would need to be surprise like most military tactics....

Re: large explosion that struck convoy in Indian-controlled Kashmir

Interestingly, while PM Imran Khan is “generally aware of the situation” but has neither been given nor has sought detailed briefings on this count. That's a little concerning. He's facing reprisals from two fronts and he's only loosely aware of the situation? Is someone else running things over th...

Re: large explosion that struck convoy in Indian-controlled Kashmir

The results of this meeting will likely set the b...

Re: large explosion that struck convoy in Indian-controlled Kashmir

We need to keep an eye on this for any signs of escalation. Do you think there might be one? Those two hate each other so badly, and most of the hatred is religious in nature. There is a certain amount of irrationality present between the two of them that the US and USSR never had, even at the wors...

Re: 10 New Signs Of Economic Collapse For China

Very true. A lot of people still consider China a third world country, and it is anything but that. Kind of depends on what part of China you're talking about. Plus most of the citizens are virtual slaves of the government. Hard to be a First World Country when you have that kind of society. I disa...
