RUMINT: Possible Nuclear Incident in the Russian Federation
Twitter user @noclador has begun to report on what he believes was a Russian detonation of a tactical nuclear device. Whoa! Looks like #Russia broke Nuclear Test Ban Treaty & detonated a tactical nuke in the Arctic. Waiting for @usairforce confirmation now. https://twitter.com/noclador/status/833003...

Re: Russian warship opens fire at Ukrainian military plane in Ukrainian airspace.
In this case, I think I believe the Ukraine version. It's in character for Russia to do that. I'm not aware of such a pattern. Could you cite an example? The nearest thing coming to my mind is Russia's nudging naval vessels allegedly treading its maritime waters, pushing them out of Russia's water....

It needs to be understood, however that the moderators were employees; unpaid ones on that. They SHOULD and CAN be able to do whatever they want. If they feel like the site is going in a different direction than more power to'em.

FOUR KC-135's are now airborne over eastern England. They all have a call-sign with the word spur in it.

Not much of a ceasefire if no one abides by it. Heavy fighting continues; even now. It is a shame to see diplomacy fail at such an open level.BygmesterFinn wrote:Ceasefire extended another 3 hours. 11 hours total now.

That sentry is racetracking HEAVILY over the north sea. Interesting; especially with the admiral fleet approaching the area.
Also looks like we have a sentry headed southbound into turkey. Never seen one in that region before.

Re: Syrian submarine cable fault
I suppose, in theory, the Syrians nor the Russians could simply disable that cable officially, as it would be an attack on the communications infrastructure of other nations. However, the Daily Beast article remarks that the Syrian internet "has a history of going down at times that the regime of B...

Not sure what to make of this news story or if it is even a good source or not http://mashable.com/2016/10/17/russia-drills-nuclear-threat/#VDVLDpJldaqT Mashable is a generally reliable source. They are not usually that good at covering politics, however. I would go FAR from calling them experts on...

Re: Admiral Kuznetsov Thread: Week One
The Intel Crab's Admiral Kuznetsov Update: 10/18/16 The Norwegian Air Force has supposedly deployed an aerial task-force to harass/monitor the admiral fleet. The Norwegian Navy is also rumored to have deployed a small task-force; less of an escort, and more of an observational mission. This is noth...

Re: Admiral Kuznetsov Thread: Week One
This is some pretty serious stuff right here. FIRST, I would all like you to place your eye on the timetable I have made; a generally reliable document that I produced sometime earlier this week. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cu7IGsqUEAAGRpI.jpg:large Although the admiral is moving at a crawl, I would...
