Look at the reactions of either side when direct conflict occurred between WMD superpowers; they near about shat themselves and took tons of caution and restraint in responding.
How many times can we come to the cliff of the abyss before falling down it...
People shouldn't be panic buying or scared, but at least realize there is a real problem here with Syria and to many triggers waiting to be tripped at anytime. War is relatively instant, we could hear of a conflict in Syria and in a hours time get a EAS alert on ours phones of a incoming nuclear attack or a attack in general.
Theres a problem, sure, but nothing existential to either Russia or the US. Anything that starts will be squashed before it gets big enough where everyone starts lobbing nukes at each other. This isnt the cliff, this is the chessboard. Theres money in Middle East wars, not so much in superpower wars. This is why we havent seen any since 1945. We could hear of that, but its never going to happen because no ones going to escalate to that point. The morning of the day we hear that EAS will begin peacefully and normally and a computer will malfunction in the afternoon. Putin will never deliberately nuke his friends beachfront property in the US.

Wow speaking of doom porn, you into it? This is hands down the most real shit I have ever watched in my life... Gave me the chills in fact. Did some research on the guy who made this video and he put a lot of time, money, and effort into making this video almost 100% authentic.
This is a fictional dramatization only and is not happening in fact. It is the work of a team of talented professionals and is not created or broadcast by the BBC. Our thanks to the many people who have contributed, and who have allowed their material to be used in this production.

The purpose of this video is to highlight the terrible reality of nuclear conflict, and to illustrate how quickly it can happen and how utterly unprepared we all are for such a scenario. Our future lies in the decisions of unelected powerbrokers who have our lives, and those of our families, in their hands. We hope that global conflict can be resolved without the insanity of nuclear war ever happening.
Really really good work if I do say so myself, if someone had this playing without me knowing this is fake, I would 100% think at least at first this is real. We have phones so we can insta fact check anything reported on TV news.

I watched this "movie" all the way though, had me on my feet the entire time. In fact had the same doom scare from the movie The Day After.

In terms of the scariest docudrama depicting nuclear war, it would hands down be Threads. Produced in 1984 by the BBC, it depicts a full-scale war between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, and the effects on the city of Sheffield in Northern England.

This is just a small segment showing the attack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrHoMSRZOS4

This movie makes The Day After look like a children's movie.

I know, loved, and heavily watched THREADS. Just wish it was back on YouTube the full version, use to be. Odd cause The Day After is on YouTube the full version.

Edit: Well probs copy right issues, THREADS is a BBC production, and The Day After was a ABC production. Although shocked Disney is letting The Day After be played free on YouTube. (ABC is a branch of Disney.)

ReEdit: So I believe ABC now which is owned by Disney but was not at the time of production/making of The Day After & Disney at the time didn't want to put its name on something like that? Idk I am a geek when it comes to copy rights and conglomerate corporation so any clues would be cool.

ReReEdit: If anyone knows if the rights to The Day After are up in the air or up for grabs from ABC like example, Avatar The Last Air Bender which was a big Nick show in the US, but now forgotten and Nick through the rights up in the air for anyone to take.

The Day After is still copyrighted. If it is ip on YouTube it is because the owner has not yet had it taken down.

Another GREAT nuclear war movie is Panic In Year Zero. Don't let the horrible title or small budget put you off. It is one of the best movies out there and it's small budget works in its favour.

Good to know The Day After is still copyrighted, and thanks for the movie Panic in Year Zero we'll definitely have to watch it, just read the description on google.

Still odd that Disney has not found their movie The Day After on YouTube, there have been two full versions of the movie on YouTube for the past 3 years. It's not like Disney to not collect its money from its copyrights.
