Given the weapon used, I'm surprised no one was known killed.
The release of atomic energy has not created a new problem. It has merely made more urgent the necessity of solving an existing one.
Great, let's round up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them.

It'd be pretty difficult to do damage with a machete in an enclosed space like a bus, you need room to get the momentum. Machete swings rely heavily on leveraging downward natural motion, so when you're restricted in space it becomes just like a knife for slashing, and often less sharp.
They require a buttload of maintenance too - I'd suspect most 'urban' machetes pretty dull.
