Re: China threatening US DoD’s technological, industrial base, say Pentagon officials

Anyone remember the opening battle scenes from the first Cylon attack on the Galactica right after they nuked the colonies, and how all the advanced Vipers just shut down in mid-flight? And you all made fun of Canada for our ancient CF-18s and never buying new technology! We'll be the ones flying t...

Re: Russian GPS system is down due to "malfunction"

http://www.rosbalt.ru/russia/2018/04/16/1696253.html Sorry if a new thread is not appropriate, but if their GPS system is down then IMHO that's a serious situation. A number of points....here is the English translation... The GLONASS system temporarily ceased to provide corrective information via t...

Re: Syria situation 12 &13 april - intel only

Pentagon briefing just gave names of cruisers, destroyers and subs that executed the strike. Notable I didn't hear the Donald Cook. Guess we know the meaning of the "Driftwood" callsign on EAMs now hahaha.

Noteworthy is there's a Virginia class sub in the med right now.

Re: Syrian Air Strikes Analysis & Discussion

Someone was asking if actual military DEFCON was classified. Until it's like 2 nope. You used to be able to see the actual DEFCON on every NORAD facility with public tours up here in Canada and down at the old bunker in Colorado Springs for decades. They would only stop with tours during periods of ...

Re: Syria Situation: Discussion

I think we seen a lot of military firepower sent to put everyone on notice and yet only struck what we did as to keep the Russians from going into full on fight back mode. We still have a lot of Naval assets heading there just in case Assad wants to try and attack our troops in his country. It look...

Re: Syria Situation: Discussion

Also note - Mattis looked and sounded *extremely* nervous during his testimony today, when talking about the possibility of uncontrollable escalation and also his exchange with Gabbard. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Trump even fired Mattis before the strike happens. I actually believe Tru...

Re: Syria Situation: Discussion

Honestly, with the way the talk is going now I suspect someone who actually knows what they're doing has told individuals in the white house that they messed up plastering it all over the twittersphere. I suspect Plan B the smart guys likely told POTUS to Alert Fatigue them to death now which he pro...

BREAKING: Angela Merkel excludes Germany's involvement in military strike against Syria https://twitter.com/Drumboy44DWS/status/984400861676875776?s=20 Curious if this is related to Russian interests in Germany... Not that it'd likely matter if an allied launch platform is hit and NATO invokes Arti...
